Rolling Fields Elder Care Community by Heritage in Conneautville, Pennsylvania, ranks among the top nursing homes in America for the second consecutive year, according to a recent report from Newsweek.
The publication identified the Best Nursing Homes for 2020-2021, and also released the nursing home finder by ranking more than 15,000 homes across the nation.
Rolling Fields, which opened as Rolling Fields Nursing Home in 1979, was acquired by Heritage Ministries, headquartered in Gerry, NY, in 2018.
Sara King, Rolling Fields Administrator, shared that Rolling Fields has been a part of her family history and personal career path for many years, which makes this honor extra special. “I started my journey in long-term care in 2009 at Rolling Fields in social services. Both of my grandfathers and my grandmother were all Elders who called Rolling Fields home.” During her time at Rolling Fields, King advanced from social services to the Admissions Coordinator, then to Assistant Administrator, and ultimately, Administrator in 2015. She was a member of the Eden Leadership Team that implemented numerous culture change initiatives, and has presented on implementing culture change at the Eden International Conference, Pennsylvania Culture Change Coalition, and numerous other events.
King said the recognition was due to the hard work and dedication of all of the care partners at Rolling Fields, “I am blessed and honored to work with such a compassionate team who truly love caring for others. I am proud to serve as their Administrator and humbled by their commitment to quality care, hard work and the selfless dedication they show to each member of our community. The entire staff of Rolling Fields should hold their heads high and be proud of what they have accomplished.”
“The achievement of being recognized as one of the Best Nursing Homes of 2020-2021 by a prestigious publication such as Newsweek is a reflection of the work going on each day”, Lisa Haglund, Heritage President and CEO, shared.
Haglund continued,“This recognition truly is a result of the hard work our staff continues to do daily as they promote Hope, Dignity, and Purposeful Living to all those entrusted to our care. The work they do each day is heroic, but especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, they have worked tirelessly. During this difficult, and often stressful time, they and their families have sacrificed so that our Elders can continue to receive the same compassionate care Rolling Fields and Heritage have always been known for. We thank them for their dedication and service to our seniors.”
