Lisa Haglund, President and CEO of Heritage Ministries, announced that Christina Reynolds has been named Corporate Director of Dining Services for the organization.
Reynolds, a resident of Bemus Point, New York, is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science and holds more than 15 years of experience in corporate dining management within the healthcare system.
Reynolds says, “I chose Heritage because I wanted to make a difference in the way the healthcare system takes care of it’s most vulnerable patients, our seniors. I adored my grandparents as I spent summer after summer with them, helping them while my parents both worked full time jobs. I remember the best part of being with them was being taught at an early age that an act of kindness, no matter how small will never be wasted. I lost my grandma unexpectedly, while I was away at college, and I will never forget thinking in that moment, how can I give back. I found my way to give back through food. Food has the power to heal, keep the mind working, and your body strong. I am excited to be on this journey to create a culture of kindness with an amazing team by my side.”
In her new role as Corporate Director of Dining Services, Reynolds, who is Servsafe certified, will work collaboratively with each Heritage community to oversee and sustain high-quality dining programs for each individual Heritage serves. She will continually evaluate the changing needs of residents and community dietary departments, striving to maintain high standards of food preparation and service, with an emphasis on menu appeal and nutritional value.
Haglund shared, “With Christina’s vast experience in corporate dining services, she is uniquely qualified to serve our staff, residents, and their families. We look forward to the future, knowing that Christina will continue to regard the health and safety of our residents and staff with absolute importance. She will work to further enhance and communicate our mission to promote Hope, Dignity, and Purposeful Living to all those entrusted to our care.”
